But things aren't as simple as they were then.
For
starters, two years of constant emotional abuse has broken Savannah in ways
she's not sure can be repaired. And patriarch Matthew Talbot has been murdered,
leaving his eldest daughter, Lexi, in charge of a global non-profit and her
younger sisters.
Jared Corbit, Lexi's gorgeous boyfriend, is the only thing standing between her and whoever murdered her father. That doesn't stop Savannah from falling in love with him. She knows it's wrong, but she just can't stay away from him when he makes he feel like no one else ever has before.

the truth is finally revealed, Savannah's fragile world threatens to fall
apart. There's a murderer on the loose, and he's gunning for the only family
she has. To save their lives, she and Jared will be forced to make a decision

The Playlist:
One of the best things about writing is finding the music to go along with the story! In All Falls Down, each chapter has a song that goes along with it. You can find those songs in the chapter titles. Here are some of my favorites:
1. Say When by The Fray - I love everything about this song.
In the story, Savannah and Jared find themselves having a pretty serious talk
in the chapter associated with this song. It fits so many different facets of
that chapter, it's crazy.
2. Rinse by Vanessa Carlton - Savannah's ex is an abusive jerk who
has really messed with her head. This causes her to question everything. This
song perfectly captures all the confusion and fear she's dealing with.
3. You and I by John Legend - To me, this is Jared's song to Savannah. Not only does he sing it to her at one point, but it says so much of what he fights to get her to believe throughout the story. Plus, it's John Legend. You can never go wrong with John Legend.
4. Hold You in My Arms Forever by Ray
Lamontagne - Ray Lamontagne
writes some of the most beautiful music, and this song is no exception. In the
song, he says, "Don't let your eyes refuse to see, don't let your ears
refuse to hear, or you ain't never going to shake this sense of sadness".
This is something Jared teaches Savannah, and I love that about him.
5. Half-Mast by Edward Hartline - You'll be hard pressed to find a copy of this song, but when I first started writing All Falls Down a few years ago, I fell in love with this song by one of my favorite young artists. And once the blazing sun goes down, we'll watch the twinkling stars alight. I promise they'll look at us, and envy you again tonight. *sighs* So lovely.
6 All Falls Down by Adelita's Way - I bet you thought I was going to say
Kanye West, didn't you? Not only is the story titled All Falls Down, but so is
a chapter that's pretty crucial to Savannah. After everything falls apart for
her, she's left completely broken and has to face a truth she's been running
from for a while. It's all very sad.
7. Can't Forget You by My Darkest Days - It's so hard to say much about this song without giving things away, but suffice it to say that Savannah and Jared both find themselves struggling and this song captures that perfectly.
8. Just Once by Tantric - Who hasn't wanted to be in control of their own fate at least once? When Savannah finds herself in that position, this song instantly came to mind.
9. Together Again by Evanescence - I love just about anything by Evanescence, but this song is so powerful. There's a line that says, I've found a world where love and dreams and darkness all collide, maybe this time we can leave our broken world behind. This fits Savannah so well, I had to include it.
