LOVE EDY... IS WRITTEN BY SHEWANDA PUGH .
I received this ARC in exchanged for an my honest opinion and this is my opinion. This is my first book I have ever read written by Ms.Pugh, and I must tell you that I find her writing has depth to her characters. She can bring you right back into your teenage years when you where going through the some of the same thing(s).
Love Edy is about two young people who have grown up together all their lives living next door to each to other. Hassan & Edy ( one is promised to another ) the other neglected by her mother the D.A.
Everyday after school Hassan walks Edy to ballet practice then runs to his football practice. when he gets home they have dinner together at his home. His mother cooks , and Edy joins them as her mom can't cook a lick. Now there comes a time when a new family moves in the neighborhood, right across the street. Edy notices the moving van. A first she thinks the guys are the moving people but when they are still there in the morning , she realizes that they must be moving in.
Then on the way to school Monday morning , she yells at the guys to stop and pick up the young teenager as she knows him. They laugh at her and said yeah right, told her to either get out of the truck or they would keep going. Once they got to school she looked for Wyatt but didn't see him.
During the course of the school year she and Wyatt became friends. Now during the summer the summer she goes to New York to work on her ballet.(BTW, ballet makes her mother very, very angry at her; as she does not like for her to waste her time on it .)
From here the story just gets better, better. But , if I keep going with my storyline. Then you won't want to buy the book and read it for yourself.
Now, I want to ask who ends up as Edy's boyfriend?? And is her mother always thinking of herself and not of her daughter??
