I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest opinion. This is mousieys very honest opinion of her book. In this final book of the McKenzie brothers. However in this one we are introduced to the youngest McKenzie daughter Emma. She fell in love with a young man by the name of Julian McClallister. Her family took him after the tragedy in his family that claim his parents. What happened that night only he knows, He is and he is not saying.Now you do not touch your best friends sister- that is the code,But the more Julian tries to stay away from Emma he is drawn to her,And during one night a party they are caught in the hallway in a situation where he was manhandling her. Can you believe that Garrett actually found them there in the hall and Julian was fondling her breast? Well he did. Now everyone is upset. Everyone except for Emma that is, as Julian was about to ask for her hand . He just got carried away.
Julian is afraid for Emma as all the men in his family have gone mad and killed themselves and their wives, He doesn't want that to happen to him therefore he has decided not to ever have any children. Emma doesn't believe those rumors or the gossips. She believes in Julian and their love,She fell in love with long ago and has been all this time. Can they over the tragedy of his past that haunts him? Do they finally find love and happiness with each other? Kim fell in love with historical romance when she was sixteen, and blames Kathleen Woodiwiss for that, since it was her The Flame and the Flower that got her hooked. Not long after finishing it, she sat down to write one herself and now, many years later, here she is.
Kim lives in New Jersey with her husband and their two children. When she's not pounding away at the computer keyboard, she does crossword and Sudoku puzzles, knits, breaks up the occasional wrestling match between the kids, and whenever she can find a few free minutes, she reads. She's also an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and the New York Rangers. She also loves Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones.
